Winston-Salem, NC -- Sending a text message could help someone, who needs day to day necessities, survive.
The United Way of Forsyth County will have its annual "Point-In-Time Count" to see how many unsheltered homeless people live in the county.
Each person will be given toiletries, blankets, and $5 gift cards for food.
If you want to get involved and help, you can donate $5 gift cards by texting "WS" to 20222 between now and January 31.
