High Point, NC -- Union Hill Elementary students learned how they can make recycling beautiful.
Third grade art students collected plastic bottles to recycle, but kept the bottle caps to design murals.
The murals depict Vincent van Gogh's "Starry Night," Georgia O'Keefe's "Poppy" and Dr. Seuss' "Cat in the Hat."
Students collected thousands of caps of all sizes and colors to match the design of the murals that are currently hanging in the school's media center.
The fifth graders also recycled old egg cartons by drawing portraits on them using markers.
