Climax, NC - A little over a year ago Bill Dudley and his daughter Laura collaborated on the perfect combination of ingredients to create Climax Moppin' & Soppin' Sauce.
The label says 'so good its scary' no, it wont make you scream but it might have you begging for more. The sauce is a combination of east meets west, "It was a sauce that was between the eastern vinegar heavy style sauce and the Lexington style sauce", says Dudley.
The recipe took four months to perfect, the name came a little quicker as Dudley notes, "We had lived in the Climax area for 32 years now and we felt like that would be an interesting thing to play on." He went on to add, "It can be used as a marinade and mopped on during cooking at the same time it is thick enough and tasty enough to be used on the table as a sopping sauce."
The sauce can be found locally at Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods.
