Security Remains Tight At Glenn High School Following Arrest Of Students

Kernersville, NC -- Three Glenn High School students went before a judge Monday afternoon charged with the murder of a Kernersville man over the weekend. 

Seniors Matthew Lee Cherry and Zachary Robert Moore, as well as Junior Jose Luis Colunga are charged with first degree murder in connection with the death of Brian Atkins who was found shot to death in his SUV on an on-ramp to Business 40 early Sunday morning. 

A fourth suspect, Christain Nunez Pascascio is also charged with first degree murder.  He is a former student at West Forsyth High School.

Kernersville Police and the Forsyth County Sheriff's Department have increased patrols at Glenn High School.  Principal Adolphus Coplin tells WFMY News 2 that there is an extra SRO patrolling inside the school.

The incident begin early Sunday morning, just after midnight.  Kernersville Police received a call about gunshots fired on Arbor Hill Road.  When they arrived they spotted several vehicles leaving the scene.  Police say that one of those vehicles was driven by the victim. 

Investigators say that Atkins knew the suspected shooters but would not give details to the connection.

The four suspects remain the Forsyth County jail with no bail.  There next court appearance in on September 12.
