Randolph County Couple Charged With Trafficking Meth

Asheboro, NC -- An Archdale man and his girlfriend were arrested Thursday after sheriff's deputies found methamphetamines in their vehicle.

Freddie Allen Philemon, 45, and Catrina Lynn Moncus, 37, of Archdale was charged with two counts each of trafficking in methamphetamine.

Investigators said after stopping a on US 64 west in Asheboro and later searching it, they found more than 170.5 grams of methamphetamine. A small amount of money was also found.

Detectives also searched Philemon's residence on Sunset View Drive and found an additional 2 grams of meth and drug paraphernalia.

The estimated street value of the meth is approximately $25,575.

Philemon's bail was set at $300,000. Moncus' was set at $100,000.
