Walnut Cove, NC-- Students at a Triad high school are going home early Monday. School is dismissing at noon at South Stokes High School.
School officials decided to close the school in Walnut Cove because of a water main break.
David Burge, Director of Operations, said they don't think the repairs to the water main will be done at a reasonable enough time to continue the school day.
Again, South Stokes High School in King is closing at noon Monday for all students. It is the only school affected by the water main break.
All other schools in Stokes County will remain on a normal schedule for the day.
