Davidson County, NC -- Eight months ago, Skipper's Restaurant was literally a wreck. The roof was ripped off and the building a mess after the tornado that tore through Davidson County in November 2011. When we spoke to the owners then, they told us they would most certainly re-build.
Now, they've made good on that promise. Skipper's Seafood re-opened in Thomasville. They held the grand opening Tuesday and owner Lynn Feredinos said they're happy to be back in business. "Very stressful, a lot of hard work. A lot of red tape we had to go through, but we made it and we're thankful that all my employees are back and all my customers are keep coming back yesterday and today a lot of familiar faces."
Feredinos also said they were nervous to re-open, but the community response has been great.
