Greensboro, NC - During Black History Month, the International Civil Rights Center & Museum collaborated with the James B. Dudley High School Alumni Association to present several programs on the rich heritage and traditions of Dudley High students and their involvement in the Civil Rights Movement.

Lolita Watkins, the Curatorial Associate at the ICRCM joined WFMY News 2's Tracey McCain on the Good Morning Show Wednesday to talk about the many events planned at the museum.

Every Saturday morning in February, parents can bring their children to the museum's storytelling hour.  It's designed for children ages 5-12 years old.

On First Friday at the ICRCM, Dudley High School students will come together to show off their many talents.  The day will feature vocalists, instrumentalists, dancers, a nationally recognized step team, spoken word artists and art work from 6:00-8:00pm.

Also, on Saturday, February 4th the ICRCM is celebrating the 52nd anniversary of the Sit-In with special guest Civil Rights Activist and author Myrlie Evers-Williams.

Laverne Carter and Brenda James both Dudley Alumni Association members talked about the programs scheduled this month.  On February 1st, they'll host a "Conversation with Dudley Teachers: Sharing Our Pride and Rich Traditions." On February 10th the ICRCM will host the Dudley Performing Arts Showcase.  And on February 11th Dudley Students will participate in the conversation entitled, "The Struggle-Why We Stepped Up?"
