Winston-Salem, NC -- Colleen Brehm was leaving work.

It was just before 7pm that night back in December.

She was crossing the road from one parking lot over to another lot.

That's when a light colored car that a witness said looked like an SUV hit her.

She went up on the car and it carried her about 30 feet before she landed back on the ground near the parking lot.

Two months later and no suspects, campus police are hoping a flyer with a picture showing her injuries will get someone to talk.

Lots of places students turn on campus, Colleen Brehm's face greets them.

And it's an attention getter.

But most students don't have to stop and read it.

They already know about the hit and run that darkens their campus.

"Everybody makes mistakes but to not own up to that mistake is something not very Wake Forest," said Wake Forest University Junior, Kalyn Hamilton.

Brehm, a dining services worker crossed the campus street only heading to the next parking lot when she was hit.

A witness who helped Brehm said the driver and passengers slowed down after hitting her then drove away.

The driving away part and leaving someone for dead is what's hurting this campus, now.

"If we saw something like this happen it would be our obligation to stop and help the person like the young man who did see the accident and immediately came and helped the woman," said Henderson Trefzger, a Wake Forest University Senior.

"I also hope that it doesn't take money or a reward to bring someone forward. I would hope that everyone would have a moral center that drives them to bring whoever did this to justice," stated Hamilton.

University spokesman, Kevin Cox said they have no information to indicate that it was a student.

Cox said it could be anyone at this point.

In the meantime, Brehm is out of the hospital.

We tried to get in touch with her, but she wasn't available.

Neighbors tell us she is still badly injured and recovering at home.
