Clemmons, NC -- Three boys, three different faiths, kicking three soccer balls across North Carolina.

The three are students at UNC Chapel Hill and are "Kicking Across Carolina." They left Asheville on Saturday, May 5. Their destination: Morehead City, 410 miles away.

Sasha Seymore, Dylan Simel and Ahmad Saad said they believe soccer has the power to create a common bond among people, all over the globe. Seymore said they bonded over soccer at a young age, despite their religions, and that's the point. "The idea is that if a Jew is passing to a Christian or a Christian is passing to a Muslim, they're not passing to a Christian, Jew, or a Muslim, they're passing to a teammate. Through that, they can form bonds and friendships and through that, hopefully create peace."

They hope to spread a message of peace and unity and are raising money for three organizations: Soccer for Peace, The Maccabim Association, and Peres Center for Peace.

They'll have two days of rest over the course of their trip, and hope to finish by the end of the month.
