Triad -- High pressure remains in control for the rest of tonight and Monday. That means it will be clear and chilly tonight. Lows will fall to the mid 20s. Monday will be partly sunny with highs in the low 50s.
If you are headed out for New Year's Eve celebrations, the weather shouldn't stand in your way. It will be cool, with temps falling to the low 40s by the time the ball drops at midnight. The rain should hold off until New Year's Day.
Any time during the day on Tuesday, there could be showers. The best chance is in the afternoon. Highs will only be in the mid 40s. That will make for a cool and damp start to 2013.
We are dry again by Wednesday as we head back to work. Highs will remain chilly and below average. It will be in the mid 40s on Wednesday and the low 40s the rest of the week.
