Chattanooga Tennessee Park Has Solar Art

Chattanooga, TN  -    The newest piece of Public Art in Chattanooga is pretty high-tech. What sets this one apart is that it comes with solar panels. Artist Dee Dee Morrison created "Seed Pod."

It's made of 81 different panels, which Morrison welded at her studio in Birmingham. And it took all day to install it in Renaissance Park. But now that it's together... Mother Nature is what makes this sculpture glow.

There's a lucite panel that's on the inside and LED floodlights that light up through an underground solar panel and the solar tower is 125 volts watt panel that collects and stores energy during the day.
