Pullman, WA (Sports Network) - Brock Motum scored 26 points to lead the
Washington State Cougars to a 60-53 victory over the USC Trojans in a Pac 12
Conference bout at the Beasley Coliseum.
Reggie Moore finished with nine points and six assists for Washington State
(12-10, 4-6 Pac-12). Motum and Marcus Capers pulled down eight rebounds each.
Greg Allen paced the Trojans (6-17, 1-9) with 17 points. Garrett Jackson added
15 points while Byron Wesley scored 12 points and grabbed five rebounds.
The Cougars took a 30-24 lead into the intermission after they shot 47.8
percent from the floor and 5-of-10 from three-point range in the opening
period. USC connected on 40 percent of its first half field goals.
The Trojans improved to 44 percent shooting from the floor after the break,
but Washington State made 11-of-13 from the charity stripe in the final 20
minutes to hang on for the seven-point victory.
The Cougars enjoyed a 34-20 advantage in the rebounding battle.
