NCAA Game Summary - Wake Forest at NC State

Raleigh, NC (Sports Network) - Scott Wood poured in a game-high 23 points, leading five players in double figures, as the NC State Wolfpack defeated the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, 87-76, in an Atlantic Coast Conference tussle at the RBC Center.

C.J. Williams and C.J. Leslie added 18 points apiece as well for the Wolfpack (17-7, 6-3 ACC), while Lorenzo Brown chipped in 15 points and passed out eight assists. Richard Howell finished with a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds as well.

C.J. Harris scored 21 points to lead the way for Wake Forest (11-12, 2-7), which also got 13 points from Travis McKie. Ty Walker finished with 12 points for the Demon Deacons, while Chase Fischer and Nikita Mescheriakov tallied 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Demon Deacons shot at a solid 50.0 percent pace during the opening stanza, but a 6-of-10 effort from beyond the arc gave NC State an edge and a 42-33 halftime lead.

The Wolfpack then hit 59.3 percent from the field and 11-of-13 at the foul line over the final 20 minutes en route to the 11-point win.

NC State won the battle down-low, besting the Demon Deacons in the paint by a 34-22 margin.
