Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Twins signed infielder Alexi
Casilla to a one-year contract on Wednesday, thereby avoiding arbitration.
Casilla will earn $1,382,500 million in 2012.
In 97 games with the Twins last season, Casilla batted .260 with 21 doubles,
four triples, two home runs and 21 RBI.
Casilla has hit .252 with 55 doubles, 10 homers and 117 RBI in 409 career
games, all for Minnesota.
