An area of low pressure will advance east out of the Central Plains on Saturday. Moisture in advance of the storm system brought increasing clouds over the Triad through early Saturday which help keep temperatures relatively mild. Scattered showers will begin to spread over the Triad through late Saturday morning and then become more widespread during the afternoon and evening hours.
Temperatures on Saturday will not climb a substantial amount as a result of the increased cloud cover and building rain chances. Highs will likely peak in the lower-middle 50s.
The rain will continue through Saturday night and into Sunday as the main area of low pressure remains east of the Triad. High temperatures on Sunday will remain in the lower 50s.
